Flame Pyrolytic Deposition – A technology for creating adhesion-enhancing surfaces

The magazine "Vacuum in Research & Practice" published the work of Dr.-Ing. Volkmar Eigenbrod, Christina Hensch and Alexander Kemper. It deals with flame pyrolytic processes for the pretreatment of surfaces.

Content was the comparison of conventional vacuum-based CVD processes to flame pyrolytic processes and a subsequent analysis of the layers produced. The main focus was on influencing wettability and surface energies as well as improving the adhesion properties of surfaces and coatings.

The research and development of Rhenotherm shows a practical and flexible solution to optimize various industrial parts by comparatively low process costs for the requirements of coatings.
