BMWi research project ZIM SiOx "Development of plasma-deposited primer layers to create structure and covalent connection of non-stick layers on metallic and non-metallic substrates" Vehicle: EP190100

(Duration: Apr. 2019 - Mar. 2021)

The aim of the project is to develop a non-stick coating for metal and plastic components that does not require pretreatment by sandblasting.

Sandblasting has hitherto been used in order to obtain a sufficiently high adhesion of the non-stick coating to the substrate by roughening the surface. The adhesion is implemented by mechanical anchoring. However, not every component can be sandblasted. These include, for example, filigree components with high requirements in terms of geometry and surface topography or hardened surfaces where sandblasting does not lead to sufficient roughening of the surface. In many applications, however, there is a need for non-stick coatings that can be applied to such components.
