O-ring coating

By applying a mixture of PTFE and binder resins or a mixture of polyurethane and binder resins, for example in a O-ring coating the surface is provided with an elastic layer with a thickness of about 25 to 35 microns. The compound is firmly adherent to the elastomer and remains elastic. The friction coefficient is significantly improved.

In the last years are characterized by a O-ring coating and new requirements and trends for gaskets. Automatic assembly, a lack of silicone and paint wetting freedom, a reduction of friction in dynamic applications, as well as a chemical resistance are increasingly desired.

  • Automatic assembly:
    The rubber parts must be treated so that they can be separated without problems and that the assembly can be carried out smoothly.
  • Silicone and paint wetting freedom:
    In the painting technique, all rubber parts must be treated so that the adhesion of the paint is guaranteed.
  • Reduction of friction:
