Halar® / Halar coating

Halar is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer coating with high abrasion resistance.
It is a copolymer of chlorotrifluoroethylene and ethylene.
Halar is resistant to many chemicals, including strong acids, chlorine and caustic soda, so this coating is preferred in the chemical industry. The parts to be coated are preheated in an oven to a temperature of 100 - 200 ° C above the melting point of the polymer. For Halar (= ECTFE), the preheat temperature is 350 - 390 ° C.

Rhenotherm Kunststoffbeschichtungs GmbH carries out contract coatings / Halar (ECTFE) coatings and is certified as a contract coater in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2015.
